Alissa Johnson, M.A.
Principal Consultant
Alissa Johnson has conducted extensive policy research and analysis for legislators, government agencies, associations, and corporations. Her experience includes projects examining public policy with regard to employment and insurance discrimination, ehealth, genetics, in vitro diagnostics, stem cell research, birth defects, newborn screening and other health policy issues. Ms. Johnson began JPC in January 2008. Prior to starting her business, she was a Program Principal with the National Conference of State Legislatures' Health Program where she served state legislators and legislative staff for seven years working on a variety of issues.
In addition to her professional background, Alissa Johnson brings a unique perspective to her health policy work as a parent of a child who suffered from a complex medical condition. She is the Co-Founder of and Advisor for The Louisa Adelynn Johnson Fund for Complex Disease.
Ms. Johnson holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Political Science and has a working knowledge of the French language.
